Expert design that brings spaces together in unexpected ways
This week you have seen us working a lot on both my marketplace rocking chair find, and our hand-me-down night stands.
I showed you all a brief preview of my work area that Sweet James set up for me, equip with appropriate tools, lighting, and safety gear.
Since then, I have gotten some questions about his tri-pod light, and other tools that we have been using this week. Every man has his brand of tools, and for Sweet James- his brand is DeWalt, and so are a few of DeWalt must haves for this week’s projects:
We have the battery powered orbital sander, which is nice because when using it, I am not hindered by cords getting in my way, or bounding me to a certain area. This sander takes 20V or 40V batteries. The 40V battery obviously lasts longer, but it is heavy, which can get difficult after time. I recommend using a 20V and having multiple charged to switch them out, especially if you are sanding a large area.
This tri-pod light is perhaps one of Sweet James’ favorite tools to have. It folds up into about a 3’ little package that is light and easy to carry. The light itself is telescoping, so it can reach high places. It is very bright and so it can illuminate a very large area. He uses this one light to illuminate his entire job site when it gets dark early all through the winter. This light is also powered by standard DeWalt batteries for easy charging and use.
This DeWalt level is pretty basic, but essential for almost all projects. When do we ever not need to make sure something is level? We both like this one particularly because it is magnetic
